Célia Geraldo - Biography

Célia started her career in marketing with a large international electronics organization. She later became an IT and business instructor, teaching in South Africa, London and Portugal before coming to Austin, TX in 2000. She has delivered classes in both English and Portuguese and served as interpreter for Spanish-speaking students. She has worked in the adult learning, financial and oil & gas industries as web developer, in marketing and training.

Her B.A. is in Fine Arts with a major in Internet Communications (digital design) graduating Summa Cum Laude. Her associate is in Business Administration (honors.) She completed her Masters in Information Systems (MIS) in 2012.

As Training and Operations Manager for one of the largest international training organizations, she managed a team of applications and technology instructors, applying many of her varied skills including project management, training, creative design and marketing experience.

In her role as lead webmaster for a large national bank, she saw the financial firm through one of the hardest transitions as the bank was taken over by the FDIC, and later bought by private investors. In this time, she effectively maintained the corporate site, seeing it through multiple releases, partnering with the IT department, DBA’s and programmers throughout these implementations.

As the owner of CG Designs Group, she helps national and international clients with their online and traditional marketing needs, as well as computer and business training services.

In her role of Marketing Manager in the field of oil/gas and military, Célia revamped the company’s e-commerce site aesthetically and with programming updates enhancing functionality, focused SEO ensuring improved search-ability applying varied search engine optimization techniques. Célia contributed to the business applying enhanced marketing efforts through the use of e-marketing campaigns, communicating with clients regularly regarding the company’s trade show participation. The quality of her work has been highly praised by colleagues and management alike. Célia maintained the flow and fulfillment of everyday tasks, providing support in many business areas. She is someone committed to constant development, personally and professionally, participating in programming and business training courses on a regular basis to constantly improve her skills.
